Don Bosco Shrine, Lingarajapuram, Bangalore, in association with the Lions Club Bangalore Pyramid, distributed partition sheets that separate passenger cabin and driver to 15 auto-drivers on December 5 here. Unable to make a living with meagre income from driving, the auto-drivers neglected the government order to separate the passenger cabin in autos. As help and a driving force to prevent the spread of COVID, the clergy along with Fr Aloysius Santiago, Parish priest, Don Bosco Shrine, initiated the project.

The Parish clergy has accorded support and help even in the past by way of supporting the auto drivers’ families with grocery kits, bread, bun and biscuits for kids especially during the pandemic, said one of the auto-drivers.
