It’s Christmas time in a big way at Don Bosco Church Lingarajapuram even amidst the pandemic. Unable to visit individual houses with the traditional Christmas carol singing, the church organized zone-wise open-air festivities. “We held carols in 12 zones as not to risk exposing ourselves to the virus by visiting individual houses,” said Fr Aloysius Santiago, parish priest of Don Bosco Church.

Advent Recollection for Youth: The youth of the parish had a day of Advent spiritual preparation preached by Fr Jince SDB. They had the opportunity for the adoration of the Holy Eucharist, Holy Mass and the sacrament of reconciliation. During the Holy Mass, the participants symbolically purified themselves by burning their sins written on papers.

Christmas with 15 adopted Families: The Salesian Cooperators’ Unit of Don Bosco Church celebrated Christmas with 15 families. Fr Roshan D’Sa, in his message, said that the coming of Christ brings joy, happiness and peace to humanity. Everyone who celebrates Christmas, thus, need to spread this joy to others. Christmas goodies were given to the families by Fr Aloysius Santiago. The Christmas story was enacted in a dance-drama format by the children of the parish.
